IADC Southern Arabian Peninsula Chapter Holds Meeting in New Location

IADC’s Southern Arabian Peninsula Chapter (SAPC) recently held their chapter meeting in Doha, Qatar for the first time. The Chapter reported a great turnout, with over 100 professionals in attendance. The lineup of presentations began with updates from the SAPC as well as IADC Headquarters, followed by presentations from:

North Oil Company – “NOC Incident Free Program”
Gulf Drilling International – “GDI – Heat Stroke Solutions”
Evolution U – “Negotiation Strategy”
Rystad Energy – “Market Update”

According to Hisham Zebian, IADC Vice President – Eastern Hemisphere, who was in attendance,

“The SAPC Meeting went very smoothly, and it was well organized with very interesting presentations.”

Upcoming SAPC Events

The committee provided updates on the upcoming 2023 IADC SAPC Golf Tournament, which will be held on 16-17 March 2023 and will mark the 25th anniversary of this event.

The next SAPC meeting will be taking place in Dubai on the 11 November 2022. This meeting will also include SAPC’s yearly elections; if any SAPC Members are interested in running for a position, the floor is open for nominations.

It is projected that the next chapter meeting that will be held in Qatar will be in Q3 2023.
