Hurricane Season Offshore Energy Preparedness and Response Workshop, 25 & 26 April

The American Petroleum Institute (API) in coordination with the Offshore Operators Committee (OOC), International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) and Center for Offshore Safety (COS) is hosting a 2022 Hurricane Season Offshore Energy Preparedness and Response Workshop on 25 & 26 April. In-person attendance is encouraged, but a virtual option will also be available.

The workshop is designed to review lessons learned from the 2021 hurricane season, establish expectations, share information, and develop contacts among government and industry in advance of the 2022 hurricane season. Expert speakers from the National Hurricane Center (NHC), the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) and the United States Coast Guard (USCG) will discuss predictions, lessons learned, and hurricane preparations of affected areas and reporting requirements.  Industry professionals, Port officials, helicopter operators (and FAA) and oil spill response organizations will share lessons learned from the 2021 season.
