IADC is actively engaged in working to resume drilling in the Gulf of Mexico as soon as possible, and asks your help in the effort! To make Washington understand the importance of offshore drilling to your livelihood, and therefore to your family and your community, PLEASE take a few moments to download, print, sign and mail a letter to your Representative and Senator.
IADC has prepared model letters for your convenience, and pre-addressed these for certain key Gulf Coast Representatives and Senators, as well as representatives from several other States. These letters are available through links by the Representative’s or Senator’s name in the blue or green drop-down boxes (below).
We have also enclosed generic model letters without address information. You can find these model letters in the orange table (below the blue/green drop-down boxes). If your Representative and Senator is not shown in the table below, please use the appropriate spreadsheet in the purple table to identify him or her.
The website also includes additional information relevant to the spill.
Offshore drilling, when conducted properly, as it has been for decades in the Gulf of Mexico, is a safe, environmentally benign activity that benefits all Americans and provides a substantial number of good jobs for hardworking families. Don’t let the Government scrub this fine industry. Please act today! Thank you in advance from IADC!
