IADC Membership Types

Contractor  Companies who own and operate land or offshore drilling rigs

Producer  Companies exploring for and producing oil, natural gas, or geothermal energy

Associate  Service companies, equipment manufacturers, consultants, and academic and/or training institutions

Well Servicing  Companies who own and operate well servicing equipment

NEW! Professional  Individuals with industry experience who are self-employed, in transition between companies, or recent graduates who were Members of an IADC student Chapter

NEW! Advocacy  Individuals who wish to engage directly with IADC’s Political Action Committee (PAC) – DrillersPAC

Contractor Membership

Contractor Membership is reserved for contract-drilling firms, whether on land or offshore. Well Servicing Members must own and operate only well servicing equipment.
Dues depend on type and capability of rig fleet, as shown in the tables below.

Minimum dues: $800. Maximum dues: $75,000. Dues are shown in U.S. dollars.

Producer Membership

Producer Membership is open to all energy-producing companies.
Dues are based on the size of the company, as determined by overall production rate from most recent prior year (measured in barrels of oil equivalent per day).

Production in excess of 1 million boe/day $50,000
Production up to 1m boe/day $35,000
Production up to 500k boe/day $20,000
Production up to 250k boe/day $10,000
Production less than 100k boe/day $7,000

Associate Membership

Associate Membership is available to manufacturers, suppliers, consultants, educators, oilfield-service firms and others with a professional or commercial interest in the upstream energy industry.
The dues structure depends on the type and size of the company, as shown in the table below.

One location and up to 15 employees (1 membership directory listing) $550
One location and more than 15 employees; 2 to 5 locations; single branch of a large corporation (Up to 5 membership directory listings) $800
Firms who conduct less than 50% of their business in the drilling industry and with 6 or more locations (Up to 10 membership directory listings) $1,500
Firms who conduct more than 50% of their business in the drilling industry and with 6 or more locations (Up to 10 membership directory listings) $5,000
Training schools and universities. (1 membership directory listing) $500

Well Servicing Membership

Well Servicing Membership is available to companies who own and operate well servicing equipment.

Minimum dues: $800. Maximum dues: $50,000. Dues are shown in U.S. Dollars.

Professional Membership

Professional Membership is available to individuals with industry experience who are self-employed and/or sole proprietors, in transition between companies, or recent graduates who were Members of an IADC student chapter at their college or university.

This type of Membership is not available to individuals who work for a current IADC Member company.

Dues: $300 per calendar year. Dues are shown in U.S. Dollars.

Requirements

  • Prior industry professional experience
  • Participation in at least one IADC committee
  • Referral letter may be required if individual is unknown to IADC
  • Self-employed / sole proprietor (may not be employed by current IADC Member company)

Advocacy Membership

Advocacy Membership is available to individuals who wish to engage directly with IADC’s Political Action Committee, DrillersPAC. PAC funds are used strategically to advance IADC’s advocacy efforts with policy makers who support the industry.

This type of Membership is completely separate from any other Membership category.

Requirements

  • Individuals must be a United States citizen or permanent resident (green card holder), and may work in any industry or for any company
