Mission Statement
The mission of the IADC Maintenance Committee is to facilitate the exchange of information regarding maintenance, regulatory compliance, and equipment performance through the exchange of best practices among its committee members, equipment manufacturers, and the industry.
The functions of the Committee include:

Providing an open exchange of information concerning maintenance through regular meetings.

Reviewing proposed regulations and industry standards as they may effect maintenance and maintenance practices.

Evaluating the effect of equipment modifications on maintenance.

Making recommendations for consideration by the Board of Directors, regulatory bodies, standards setting organizations, and equipment manufacturers in matters relating to maintenance and equipment performance.

Facilitating the dissemination of information in the industry.
Maintenance Committee Structure
Committee members are appointed by their IADC member companies to represent them on the Committee. The Committee will annually elect its Chairman from within its membership. The Chairman may serve multiple terms. The Committee Chairman, at his or her discretion, may appoint a reasonable number of Vice-Chairmen or Task Group Leaders to oversee specific disciplines or issues.
Committee Meetings Policy
General meetings are open to all categories of IADC membership. The Chairman may invite non-members to attend when it furthers the interests of the Committee. At the discretion of the Chairperson and IADC staff, the meeting or portions of the meeting may be exclusively reserved for drilling contractor members. Meetings will be held at such times and locations as may be selected by the Chairman with the advice of the Committee.
