The Luncheon and Meeting will be held on 4 March at the Petroleum Club of Houston. Schedule of Events: 8:30 am 11:15 am 11:30 am Noon Keynote Speaker: Dr. Nansen G. Saleri, Chief Executive Officer & President of Quantum Reservoir Impact, LLC IADC is pleased to welcome the oil industry’s preeminent authority on reservoir management and up-stream technologies. Dr. Nansen Saleri will discuss increasingly widespread concerns about the onset of peak oil. He will give projections based on the analysis of critical assumptions for five different peak oil scenarios. Dr. Saleri will examine the following pressing questions: what are the current global resources in place?; what percentage of global resources is ultimately recoverable?; what will be the average rate of crude consumption between now and peak oil?; and when will peak oil arrive?
![]() Dr. Nansen Saleri holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. Degrees from the University of Virginia and B.Sc. from the Bosphorus University in Chemical Engineering. He received the 2006 John Franklin Carll Award, given annually by Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), for his outstanding contributions to modern reservoir management. He is a Member of the Advisory Board of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Houston and has been an SPE Distinguished Member and Lecturer; Co-Chairman of the SPE European Forum; Keynote Speaker at the several International Forums on Reservoir Simulation; SPE Speakers Bureau Member; and Member of SPE Fluid Mechanics Committee. Dr. Saleri has authored numerous technical papers and been a featured speaker at nearly 100 industry and ‘think-tank’ gatherings. He oversaw the Company’s Maximum Sustained Capability (MSC) commitments at 10.8 million barrels per day and strategic planning for its oil and gas assets. Dr. Saleri worked for Chevron, before joining Saudi Aramco in 1992, and served as Manager of Reservoir Engineering, Houston, Texas. He is the principal driver behind Saudi Aramco’s technological ascendancy in its up-stream capabilities, specifically in the area of modern reservoir management and ‘smart’ technologies. Chaired the Company’s Gas Strategy Task Force and led the Best-in-Class Initiative in Well Optimization. 1:15 pm 2:00 pm
