IADC is pleased to announce the release of its set of standardized kill sheets. The official version of the Wait and Weight method killsheets are now available, for surface and subsea use in a variety of units of measurement. These killsheets are being made available for public use free of charge. WellCAP training providers are encouraged to use them, but their use is not mandatory. The following Killsheets can be downloaded from the links below. Each is in PDF format, about 140Kb file size.
These killsheets, and two others now in draft form, ready for public review, were developed by a subcommittee formed by the IADC Well Control Committee. The subcommittee concluded that due to the variety of formats and contents, a standardized Kill Sheet for the industry that can be used in both the classroom and in the field is warranted. The subcommittee concluded that an "ideal" Kill Sheet would have the following characteristics:
