Opinions from the industry are currently being sought regarding whether to continue the requirement for WellCAP training to be repeated every five years at the Introductory Level. A description of the issues under consideration can be found in the Well Control Committee section of the IADC web site or linked below. Comments can be provided online by voting on section provided below. Richard Grayson, HSE Manager of Nabors Offshore proposed at the November meeting of the IADC Well Control Committee that the group consider doing away with this requirement. Retraining at the Introductory Level has been required since the curriculum guidelines were revised in 2002. Comments concerning the above proposal should be submitted in writing to IADC using one of the following methods:
