The IADC Companion to the 2009 MODU Code

the differences between its predecessor, the 1989 MODU Code, and the

are provided that indicate the intended purpose of the change and
identify the source documentation for the change. The Companion to
the 2009 MODU Code is provided on a compact disk which also contains
copies of the referenced source documents.

Final NPDES Permit for New and Existing Sources and New Dischargers in
the Offshore Subcategory of the Oil and Gas Extraction Category for the
Western Portion of the Outer Continental Shelf of the Gulf of Mexico
(GMG290000).
This permit, effective 1 October 2007, requires that the owners of MODUs
for which construction was commenced after 17 July 2006 and which have a
design cooling water intake capacity of greater than 2 million gallons
of water per day (of which at least 25% is used for cooling purposes)
apply for coverage under the permit in order to demonstrate compliance
with Subpart N to 40 CFR part 125. The application must be
accompanied by design and construction plans and a description of
operational measures that will be employed to attain compliance.
