North Sea Chapter Safety Awards raises funds for Oil Chaplaincy Trust.

Once again the Oil Chaplaincy Trust Ltd was one of the charities to be supported through monies donated at the North Sea Chapter Annual Safety Awards.   A magnificent £4660 was raised through personal and company donations, and with the Chapter’s pledge to match funds raised, both of the Chairman’s chosen Charities, The Oil Chaplaincy Trust and the Anthony Nolan Trust, are set to benefit  by this amount over the coming weeks.   At a cheque presentation held at UK Oil and Gas Chaplaincy offices at Total E&P UK, North Sea Chapter Chairman Steve Rae, Seawell UK, was proud to be able to hand over a cheque for £4,660 to UK Oil & Gas Chaplain Rev Andrew Jolly to support the work of the Trust.   Steve was joined by Roger Hodgson, KCA DEUTAG, Ex-Officio NSC Vice Chairman and John Davies of Odfjell Drilling.

The Oil Chaplaincy Trust was founded in 1986 to support individuals and their families who have worked in the industry and who, through ill health and other reasons are experiencing hardship.  In accepting the cheque, Rev Andrew Jolly expressed his thanks to the IADC and all those who contributed so well at the dinner for their continuing support and encouragement for this valuable part of the Chaplaincy's work.
