Facilitator & Crew Resource Management (CRM) Course
Three days of instructor training on how to facilitate adult learning, plus an optional two-day Crew Resource Management (CRM) addition.
About the Program
This course is designed for instructors who will be facilitating the WellSharp Plus technical and/or CRM (Crew Resource Management) course as well as other IADC accredited instructors aiming to improve their facilitation skills in the classroom and enhance their understanding of CRM.
This course is either 3 days or 5 days, depending on if you elect to complete the CRM portion. The Facilitator course, the first three days, covers adult learning principles, experiential learning cycle, how to guide debriefing discussions, and how to assess team-based learning. The optional CRM addition, last two days, provides training instructors with strategies for delivering and assessing crew resource management content, including situational awareness, communication, decision-making, teamwork and leadership. Human factors experts aided in the design of the course. Intended for any instructor aiming to integrate, deliver, and assess human factors content into technical training.
The course will provide you with the skills and strategies you need in working with adult learners. The course content comprises all of the traditional “train-the-trainer” topics, as well as an in-depth focus on those skills specific to the kind of content delivery that maximizes knowledge retention. You will also learn how to encourage and evaluate teamwork and problem-solving. There are numerous additional applications for the course content, which will become apparent to you during the week. This course satisfies (and indeed goes above and beyond) the Train-the-Trainer requirement for instructor approval.
Important: This course is taught in English, so you must be extremely proficient in English in order to succeed.
